Kenya 149 for 4 (Obuya 60*, Odhiambo 41) beat Afghanistan 115 for 8 (Mangal 36, Otieno 3-16) by 34 runs
Scorecard and ball-by-ball details

Kenya squared the two-match T20 series after comfortably beating Afghanistan by 34 runs in Sharjah. The win was set up by the captain Collins Obuya who batted through the innings to guide Kenya to 149 and then picked up two wickets. Afghanistan's middle order failed to step up and the side was bowled out for 115.

Opting to bat, openers Obuya and Nehemiah Odhiambo got off to a solid start by adding 87 in ten overs. Odhiambo went on the attack to the legspinner Samiullah Shenwari, hitting him for two sixes in an over before the bowler had the last laugh, beating him in flight as he tried to launch another six. Afghanistan pulled things back to restrict Kenya to 149, with Obuya staying unbeaten on 60 with six fours and a six.

Afghanistan's start wasn't as effective as they lost Mohammad Shehzad in the third over, bowled after hitting Elijah Otieno for two consecutive fours. Shahzad's opening partner Karim Sadiq fell in the next over, top-edging Shem Ngoche to mid-off. Nawroz Mangal gave the chase a boost with an aggressive 36 off 23 balls that included three sixes. He had taken the score to 68 in the ninth over but was caught at mid-off off Obuya, who took the first of his two wickets.

Mangal's wicket hurt Afghanistan's chances as the middle order failed to find the boundaries and lost wickets at regular intervals. Otieno took two more wickets to finish with 3 for 16 and Kenya finally registered a win in an otherwise forgettable tour of the UAE, in which they lost two ODIs, an Intercontinental Cup match and the first T20.

Dear Mr Pindolia......If Kenya is to rest those who did not perform, then ALL 11 have to go. Where will Kenya bring the next 11 from ?

test playing nations should help teams like afg and ken.otherwise they will lose intrest and also players.Pakistan Ban and Slk can send their Ateams easily if not their national teams for limitted overs and also for firstclass matches.

Congratulations Kenya on the win.We now need to build on this win and correct our mistakes in all three departments Batting Bowling and Fielding. We need to look into injecting more young upcoming players and rest those who have not performed and also Cricket Kenya surely needs to wake up market the sports more and arrange more fixtures.Afghanistan is in great form and we can arrange a full tour early next year like ODI T20 and also the longer version and also with other teams like Ireland etc.We should the associates come together and help each other rather than begging for fixtures against test sides which will be only a miracle to achieve. We should improve our game and those teams who will qualify for T20 world cup next year should not look just to upset the test teams but keep ambition to win the cup.

the loss matters because next month is the t20 qualifier so afg needs to focus on their batting . their batting is still weak . they need a really good batting coach. im sure they can afford a better batting coach from one of the Asian countries

doesn't matter we already achieve what we want the lose mean nothing to afg
