Played at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah (neutral venue)
27 February 2014 - day/night match (50-over match)

Amir Hamza to Sharjeel Khan, OUT, slog sweep straight into the hands of deep midwicket! That's a terribly soft dismissal. This posed no threat to him, actually it flighted just a bit outside off and was in his arc. But Sharjeel just hasn't hit this well enough, especially with three men on the leg side boundary. Afghanistan have been very disciplined so far and they snare a deserved wicket, if not off the best ball

Sharjeel Khan c Noor Ali Zadran b Amir Hamza 25 (55m 37b 2x4 1x6) SR: 67.56

Pakistan 55/1   Ahmed Shehzad 28* (38b 5x4)   Amir Hamza 1.3-0-4-1

Mirwais Ashraf to Mohammad Hafeez, OUT, taken at mid-off! Hafeez has played one slog too many! Another good length ball targeting top of off. The pressure generated by the Afghanistan bowlers over the past five overs shows as the batsman goes for another almighty swing. Only manages a leading edge which gives Nabi the easiest of catches

Mohammad Hafeez c Mohammad Nabi b Mirwais Ashraf 10 (29m 16b 1x4 0x6) SR: 62.50

Pakistan 78/2   Ahmed Shehzad 41* (66b 6x4)   Mirwais Ashraf 4.5-0-17-1

Samiullah Shenwari to Ahmed Shehzad, OUT, strikes in his first over and another Pakistan batsman falls to a slog! Flatter delivery on the stumps, Shehzad clears his front leg and wanted to whack this to the next town. Gets an inside edge onto leg stump. Shenwari is pumped! Afghanistan on top!

Ahmed Shehzad b Samiullah Shenwari 50 (97m 74b 7x4 0x6) SR: 67.56

Pakistan 89/3   Sohaib Maqsood 2* (11b)   Samiullah Shenwari 1-0-6-1

Mohammad Nabi to Sohaib Maqsood, OUT, complete mix-up! Absolute comedy out there as both batsmen end up at the same end! Maqsood reaches the pitch and drives this into the covers and sets off. His captain answers the call, but Maqsood then has second thoughts and while turning back, he slips. Races back to the batsman's with Misbah following him! The throw comes to the keeper, who runs the full 22 yards and breaks the stumps. Maqsood should have sacrificed himself and now Pakistan's best hope is gone

Misbah-ul-Haq run out 0 (2m 0b 0x4 0x6) SR: -

Pakistan 89/4   Sohaib Maqsood 2* (12b)   Mohammad Nabi 2.1-0-15-0

Samiullah Shenwari to Sohaib Maqsood, OUT, another for Shenwari as Maqsood perishes to mid-on! Flighted on off stump and he drags it towards the leg side. Doesn't bother to keep it down. It was only a matter of time considering he was hitting everything way too hard. Maqsood is completely out of sorts in this series. Meanwhile, Shenwari becomes the highest wicket-taker for Afghanistan

Sohaib Maqsood c Asghar Stanikzai b Samiullah Shenwari 13 (28m 25b 2x4 0x6) SR: 52.00

Pakistan 108/5   Umar Akmal 8* (9b)   Samiullah Shenwari 2.5-0-14-2

Dawlat Zadran to Shahid Afridi, OUT, you said it, JC. Slog over midwicket and the off stump is knocked off it's perch. This pitches on a good length outside off and darts in just a touch, Afridi employs one of his favourite shots and the result is no more a surprise. Afghanistan are ecstatic

Shahid Afridi b Dawlat Zadran 6 (10m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 54.54

Pakistan 117/6   Umar Akmal 11* (14b)   Dawlat Zadran 5.3-0-26-1

Mirwais Ashraf to Anwar Ali, OUT, skips down the track and lofts over extra cover, but Nawroz Mangal has made a spectacular run and grabs it in front of his body! The bowler had spotted him charging and dragged the length short. His pace is not enough to bother Anwar into changing his shot though as he swings with an open face. It goes high and the man had to race a long way to his left from mid-off, had his eyes on the ball all the way through and sticks his hands out at the perfect time to snag it safely

Anwar Ali c Nawroz Mangal b Mirwais Ashraf 21 (59m 36b 2x4 0x6) SR: 58.33

Pakistan 177/7   Umar Akmal 49* (57b 2x4 1x6)   Mirwais Ashraf 7.4-1-29-2

Dawlat Zadran to Umar Gul, OUT, castled! You miss, I hit says Dawlat. It was fullish and Gul was a little rooted on leg stump as he swung for the fences again. This time though the ball seems to have ducked in the smallest bit to beat him and crash into the stumps

Umar Gul b Dawlat Zadran 15 (25m 12b 1x4 1x6) SR: 125.00

Pakistan 217/8   Umar Akmal 73* (77b 4x4 1x6)   Dawlat Zadran 9-0-55-2
