Sheffield Shield - Final

Tasmania v New South Wales

Tasmania won by 7 wickets

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100  | Overs 101-150

Good morning and welcome to Cricinfo's coverage of the Sheffield Shield final from Bellerive in Hobart. It is the pinnacle of Australian domestic cricket. Over the next five days Tasmania and New South Wales will battle for the Sheffield Shield as they did on this ground in 2006-07. This game is regarded as the most important in an Australian summer outside of the Test matches. This is a great opportunity for all players to show their skills to the National selectors.

Toss: Tasmania won the toss and George Bailey their captain elected to bowl. There is significant live green grass on the wicket but it is hard underneath. George Bailey wanted to make first use of it. Simon Katich would have done the same.

Not too many changes to the Teams. Luke Butterworth returns to the Tasmania line-up after resting in the last game. Usman Khawaja returns for NSW from a hamstring injury.
