Twenty20 Big Bash

Western Australia v Queensland

Queensland won by 62 runs

Good evening and welcome to the WACA for the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash clash (try saying that 20 times quickly) between the Warriors and the Bulls. It's a steamy afternoon here in the west, with the Bulls winning the toss and sending WACA's into the heat to sweat it out in the field Tight competition, both teams need to win to make the preliminary final, with Victoria unlikely to be knocked off the top rung. For you croweaters and blue baggers, I'm told South Australia need Queensland to win, while NSW will be hoping for a WA win to increase their chances of a prelim spot. That said, if the Bulls win, NSW are a chance of first. Get all tha? Nope...neither did I. But it's sure to be a hum dinger, a rip snortler, just a great exciting game of cricket! Stay tuned, the first ball is coming up The big friendly giant to open the bowling

Umar Gul to Batticciotto, 1 run, another low full toss, edged into the ground and through to the keeper

Well, that is why they call it the Big Bash, 77 off the last 7 overs with some beautiful cricket shots and some brute force from Reardon. The Warriors have not had a batsmen make 50 in this comp, you'd think they'd need one to chase down 190. The likes of Doropolous and Ronchi will be key if they can chase down this mammoth total. Join me, Andrew Fuss, again at 7.45pm AWDT for the resumption of play.
