Profile

Ben Dunk is Queensland's wicketkeeping understudy but his most memorable displays of 2009-10 came with the bat in the Twenty20 competition. Having kept out Chris Hartley when he returned from injury, Dunk showed why when he blasted 70 off 40 balls to give the Bulls a chance in the preliminary final before the chase failed. In six matches Dunk, a free-swinging left-hander, raced to 142 runs at a strike-rate of 148. He didn't get any other senior calls, but performed strongly in the 2nd XI. A product of north Queensland, he represented the state in junior and colts teams, and played in Ireland in 2007 and 2008.
