Wet weather ruins Sri Lankan fixture
Match abandoned New South Wales v Sri Lankans
Sri Lanka's final 50-over warm-up before the series with Australia next week was washed out in Sydney. After beating Queensland on Friday, the visitors were hoping for some more fine-tuning but the covers stayed on and the contest was called off without a ball being bowled.
Any practice was limited to the SCG's indoor nets and Muttiah Muralitharan and Kumar Sangakkara both had a light session. The tourists play New South Wales in a Twenty20 fixture on Wednesday before facing the Australians in a T20 international in Perth on Sunday. The three-match one-day series begins in Melbourne on November 3.
