He commenced his senior cricket with Marburg, playing with them for four seasons. This is his first season of representative cricket at this level, having impressed with some fine bowling in the Schaefer Shield competition played this season at Buderim. Though his bowling for South Queensland proved somewhat expensive his fine batting brought him a well deserved century and also played a considerable part in the victory gained by South Queensland over North Queensland. In September 1997 he was a member of the Laidley XI for the game against a Queensland XI at the opening of the Bichel Oval, capturing the wickets of ML Love, AR Border and LW Kahler. He was educated at St Marys School, Laidley, and at the Laidley High School. His occupation is carpenter. (Warwick Torrens, December 2000)
