Her club cricket was for Eastern Stars, previously a cricko (a local Queensland variation of cricket played by women) club that switched to cricket in 1949. She represented Queensland from 1950 and was a member of the Australian squad from 1953/54 to 1957/58, playing one Test against New Zealand in 1956/57. She had represented Queensland at cricko as a wicket-keeper at the age of 15 but became a bowler when she took up cricket.
