Elliott out of ING Cup clash

Star Bushrangers opening batsman Matthew Elliott has been forced out of Sunday's crucial ING Cup match against the Queensland Bulls in Ballarat. Elliott incurred severe bruising of his right knee while batting during the Bushrangers recent Pura and ING matches in Tasmania and was unable to be considered for selection.

St.Kilda batsman Michael Klinger has been recalled to the squad in Elliott's absence as his superb season in Victorian Premier Cricket continues. Joining Klinger in the thirteen man squad is young Melbourne paceman Rob Cassell.

In Bulls selection news, Ashley Noffke was unable to be considered for selection as his recovery from a fractured right index finger continues.
