Australia's successful winners of yet another international one-day trophy will arrive home from India to news that their injured compatriots who were forced out of the tour are all on the comeback trail. With the Test series due to start against India on December 4 the race is on.

Darren Lehmann started work in the pool and on the bike last week. He is training with a boot to protect his ankle. The book should come off next week and at that stage it will be known what more he must do in his rehabilitation.

Brett Lee has started light work after his ankle surgery went well while Glenn McGrath has been working out a little longer than Lee since his operation. Both players are to be assessed by Australian team medical staff by the end of the month.
