Matthew Elliott, the opening batsman, returns to the South Australia side after recovering from the knee injury that kept him out of last week's matches against Western Australia. He features in the side that will compete against Victoria in the Pura Cup and ING Cup matches starting on November 26 and December 3 at St Kilda. Elliott's inclusion in the side is subject to the successful completion of his training programme over the next two days.
Matthew Weeks, the Port Adelaide allrounder, has been called into the side in place of Mark Cleary, who has been omitted from the four-day squad. If chosen in the final XI, Weeks will make his first-class debut. Also omitted from the side that won outright against Western Australia was Cullen Bailey, whose legspin was not expected to suit the pitch.
Victoria, who are second behind New South Wales, named an unchanged line-up for the Pura Cup match despite suffering a 225-run loss to Queensland at the Gabba on Monday.
