Justin Langer, the retired Australia opener, will line up alongside his former team-mate Adam Gilchrist in an all-star Twenty20 match next month. The Gabba clash will feature an Australian Cricketers' Association All-Stars side, which will face a full-strength Australia in the lead-up to the home series against New Zealand.
Langer said he was looking forward to playing on the big stage in Australia one more time. "It will be fantastic to play alongside Gilly once again, and with former team-mates and guys I used to play against at the domestic level," Langer said. "I'm sure it will be quite a show."
Gilchrist will captain the All-Stars team. He said: "I can't reveal who's going to be playing, but I can tell you it's going to be a fun and fast game to start the summer of cricket - certainly worth returning for."
The full line-ups of both sides will be confirmed in the week before the match. The Brisbane game is set for Friday November 14, a week before Australia's first home Test of the summer.
