Scorecard

Moises Henriques crunched his second first-class century as New South Wales made South Australia regret their decision to send the Blues in at the SCG, where the home team was bowled out late in the day for 373. Henriques and Ben Rohrer combined for a 187-run fourth-wicket partnership that ended any hopes South Australia had of running through the batting line-up cheaply, after Joe Mennie picked up a couple of top-order wickets.

Henriques, who played three Tests earlier this year on the ill-fated tour of India, struck two sixes and 20 fours in his 158-ball innings of 127, finally finding the batting form that has eluded him so far in the Sheffield Shield season. Rohrer also scored quickly, with his 97 coming from 106 deliveries with 19 fours before he was lbw to Kane Richardson.

Henriques had support then from captain Peter Nevill, who finished unbeaten on 42 as New South Wales moved along to 373. Mennie finished with 4 for 60 for the Redbacks and Chadd Sayers collected 3 for 82.
