Wynnum Sea Eagles off-spinner Scott O'Leary heads the handful of newcomers in the XXXX Queensland Bulls squad that will chase back-to-back Pura Milk Cup titles in the 2000-2001 season

Wynnum Sea Eagles off-spinner Scott O'Leary heads the handful of newcomers in the XXXX Queensland Bulls squad that will chase back-to-back Pura Milk Cup titles in the 2000-2001 season.
Queensland Cricket today announced a 21-player Bulls squad which contains three ACB-contracted players and 18 players contracted to Queensland Cricket.
Under the new player movement regulations set down by the ACB, States must have signed a minimum of 15 players by today, allocating 90 percent of their player payment pool. All States must finalise the complete list of contracted players and fully allocate their player payment pool by September 30.
The Bulls claimed the inaugural Pura Milk Cup last season after setting a record points tally with eight outright wins. They also made the Final of the Mercantile Mutual Cup.
Newcomers to the squad are batsman Clinton Perren and spinners Dale Turner and O'Leary, each of whom has earned promotion from the Queensland Academy of Sport squad that doubles as Queensland's Second XI.
O'Leary, 22, is the only member of the squad not to have played either Pura Milk Cup or Mercantile Mutual Cup for Queensland. A former A grade tennis player, he has averaged 40 wickets a season in the Brisbane XXXX First Grade competition for the past two years and has played in the ACB Second XI Cup competition.
The squad, minus Stuart Law, Matthew Hayden, Martin Love, Geoff Foley, Clinton Perren, Adam Dale and Ashley Noffke who are playing in England, will begin off-season preparations in June. Australian pace bowler Michael Kasprowicz is scheduled to return from shoulder surgery after the season has commenced.
