Fleming returns for Bushrangers

Victoria's selectors today named Damien Fleming in the Bushrangers team to take on the West Indies at the MCG this Friday. Joining Fleming in the side will be University batsman Peter Harper.

Fleming and Harper replace Paul Reiffel and Ian Harvey from the team that played the Queensland Bulls last week. Reiffel is being rested, whilst Harvey is undergoing laser treatment on his eyes, which will allow him to play without contact lenses. Harvey will receive the laser treatment tomorrow and will be available for the Bushrangers next match against the Southern Redbacks at the MCG on November 24.

The 22-year-old Harper has played one game previously for the Bushrangers in season 98/99 and is a former Ryder Medallist. He has been in fine form in Premier Cricket so far this season, scoring a brilliant 121 not out in a recent one-day fixture.

The team is as follows:

Darren Berry (c), Jason Arnberger, Shawn Craig, Damien Fleming, Peter Harper, Brad Hodge, Mathew Inness, Michael Klinger, Michael Lewis, Colin Miller, Matthew Mott, Ben Oliver.
