38.3 to RJ Burns, what a catch! Bancroft at short leg. He's pulled off a blinder here as Burns fends a short delivery off his hip. Living up to Justin Langer's billing. It has gone to the third umpire, soft signal is out. He has done brilliantly here, that nearly popped out but he managed to hold on, full-stretch to his left. That is one of the great short leg grabs. 116/4
64.6 to CR Woakes, big appeal for a catch down the leg side as he pulls, given on the field and Woakes reviews...yep, replays confirm it brushed the thumb of the glove so Woakes is gone. Short ball plan works again for Cummins, very well executed. 210/7
70.2 to JC Archer, and the short ball works again as Archer gets into a bit of a tangle, looking to tuck the delivery into the leg side and gets a big leading edge which loops over gully. Khawaja backs good ground running back and takes a smart catch. 230/8
2265832.631057000
1.3 to JJ Roy, edged, and gone! Doesn't take Hazlewood long to make his mark. It's short-of-a-length outside off, Roy pushing away from his body and sends a regulation edge to Paine. That's trademark stuff from Hazlewood (and, in a sense, Roy as well). To be fair, was a good delivery from Hazlewood but exposes that technique of Roy. 0/1
9.1 to JE Root, trapped in front, he's gone! Hazlewood's day gets better. A full delivery, nips back at Root, hammers into the knee roll. Heading towards leg stump. Root ponders the review but soon turns on his heels. 26/2
31.6 to JL Denly, thin edge and gone! Hazlewood has his third, he's having a terrific day, gets it in the channel outside off, good length, Denly plays forward and there's enough movement to graze the outside edge. Very McGrath-esque dismissal. 92/3
1324813.69588000
42.3 to JC Buttler, and another falls as Buttler's struggles continues. A length ball outside off, probably wide enough to leave, Buttler has a fiddle, not much footwork, and gets a thin nick. 136/5
19.126833.548310000
45.2 to BA Stokes, plants the front foot and attempts to paddle, hit on the pad - up goes the finger! Stokes waits motionless for a long time, but won't be reviewing! Mulling over his choice of shot, perhaps, seemingly unsettled by seeing the ball turn so much from outside his off stump; looked pretty adjacent on first viewing, Chris Gaffaney giving it straight away, and Hawk-Eye reckons it would have toppled leg stump. 138/6
73.5 to SCJ Broad, through him, hits leg stump! Lovely piece of bowling, this one goes straight one, slides past the inside edge and just just clips the leg bail with enough force for it to topple out of its groove. 251/9
77.1 to JM Bairstow, lobbed up, Bairstow has a filthy hack... and picks out deep square leg! Understandable intent but he shovelled that high and not-very-handsome, Khawaja jogging in to take a comfortable catch and conclude the England innings. 258/10

4.2 to DA Warner, bowled 'im, shaves the leg bail! Big nip-backer from round the wicket and Warner goes cheaply again! Broad the man to get him for the third time in a row this series, slightly rickety defensive shot but that was a sweet cherry - and England have their opening. 11/1
30.1 to TM Head, booming in to smash the pads... but Dar shakes his head! England review and this looks bad for Travis Head! Only the inside edge could save him, because this was right back in the traps as the ball homed in on middle... Yep, that's plumber than the Mario brothers! Broad hits the nail on the Head, thankful for the DRS after a wide-eyed, increasingly disbelieving appeal. 71/4
44.2 to MS Wade, edged, taken at third slip! Broad has worked hard for that. It's full outside off, tempts the drive from Wade, the thick edge flies low to Burns who takes a very good catch inches from the turf. 102/5
94.3 to PJ Cummins, short ball, Cummins swipes at it - gloved to the keeper! Cummins walks off, Broad has his fourth and that is the Australia innings wrapped up. 250/10
29115922.031457011
22.5 to CT Bancroft, been given lbw! But Bancroft has reviewed. The no-ball is just okay. Was it high or outside the line? There's no bat. Nipped back nicely off the seam as well. Umpire's call on hitting the bails. Archer has his first! Big celebrations for him. 60/2
66.6 to TD Paine, taken at short leg! Good field setting, well bowled. Back of a length at off stump, nips back at Paine, takes a thick inside edge into the top of the pad then loops to Buttler. 162/6
1966133.218910000
23.2 to UT Khawaja, edged, and gone! One brings two, as they say...good length outside off, nibbles away from Khawaja who pushes outside off and it's a regulation edge to Bairstow. Woakes in the game. 60/3
ZOMG, he's left a straight one! Smith seemed to turn away and start walking, then reviews, but I think that's in desperation... Hawk-Eye says it was demolishing middle stump, and Smith is crowbarred from the crease eight runs short of his hundred! What a phenomenal innings, but he was clearly not quite as composed after returning. 203/6
85.2 to PM Siddle, prancing from a length, kisses the shoulder of the bat - gone! Beautiful line from Woakes, shaping away late and Siddle's defences are breached. 218/7
87.5 to SPD Smith, ZOMG, he's left a straight one! 234/8
811702.12361000
1131911.72562000
93.1 to NM Lyon, sliding in with the arm, strikes the back pad - up goes the finger! Lyon immediately reviews, perhaps thinking he'd got some bat on it; because if not, that's pretty plumb. What does the DRS have to say? Past the inside edge, a clear gap and Hawk-Eye has it hitting the top of middle and leg! So Leach strikes with the first ball of his spell, claiming his first wicket in a home Test. 246/9

4.1 to JJ Roy, he's gone, leading edge back to the bowler! Roy falls cheaply again, a short-of-a-length delivery that he looks to work to the leg side, closes the face, the ball loops just down the on side of the pitch, Cummins spins from his follow through and gets underneath it. 9/1
4.2 to JE Root, gone, first ball! It's all happening. Perfect length outside off, Root pushes forward, gets a thick edge through to Paine. Australia know they have a big chance now. 9/2
56.6 to JC Buttler, taken at long leg! Australia have the breakthrough. Banged in short by Cummins, Buttler isn't in control as he pulls, gets a big top edge and it's comfortably taken. 161/5
1314303.30555000
1545423.60665101
18.5 to JL Denly, chipped back to the bowler, Siddle snaps it up! One shot too many brings about Denly's downfall... Reaching for the drive and it went uppishly back to Siddle's left, a simple chance by comparison with the one he took off Root at Edgbaston. If his team-mates aren't going to hold them, he'll have to do it himself!. 64/3
20.2 to RJ Burns, gottim, no reprieves this time! Snorting lifter in the channel, Burns can't withdraw his bat in time, feathered through to the keeper, England four down! Siddle presses the right buttons, gets this to spring from a length, and the Australians are lording it once more!. 71/4

3.3 to DA Warner, got him! Length ball, doesn't do much off the pitch but Warner dangles his bat - prods at it really - and the ball flies off the outside edge into the gully where Burns takes a sharp low catch. What a start for England.... 13/1
5.3 to UT Khawaja, got him! Length ball, similar to the first of the over, and takes the outside edge this time! Khawaja hangs around for 15 seconds, thinking about the review... but decides against. Big, big strike for England!. 19/2
40.6 to TD Paine, amazing catch by Joe Denly! Short ball, pulled hard by Paine and Denly takes an unbelievable catch at midwicket! Flies to his left, sticks out a hopeful left hand and it sticks! That is an absolute ripper. Not struck entirely cleanly by Paine, but a decent connection nonetheless. It couldn't happen, could it?. 149/6
301103.66132000
16.353732.24836000
13.6 to CT Bancroft, got him! It's scuttled low, Bancroft playing back and is trapped stone dead. Not much he could do there (except try to get forward). Smashed into his shin infront of all three. 47/3
35.6 to M Labuschagne, and gone! Into the rough again, gets low to sweep but it flies off Buttler's left thigh at short leg and well caught diving forward at midwicket! They're going to check this catch, soft signal is out... ooh, this doesn't look clear at all. Root was the man diving forward, and they'll have a long look at this. Notoriously tricky, these - looks out from one angle and not-out from the other. We have a decision... Wilson gives it! And Labuschagne is fuming! A few words exchanged between Root and Marnus on the way off.. 132/4
37.1 to MS Wade, got him! Turns out of the rough, and prodded to short leg! Lunges forward, off the glove, and Buttler takes the simplest of catches at short leg. Now then!. 138/5
