Norman McCaskie, who died suddenly on July 1, aged 57, was in the XI at Winchester in 1928 and 1929, but did not gain a Blue at Oxford. He made one appearance for Middlesex at Lord's in 1932, when he formed the third leg of a hat-trick by G. Paine, the Warwickshire left-arm slow bowler, who took seven wickets for 14 runs.
