Profile

Ron Pratt, one of two brothers who played for Surrey during the successful 1950s, died on June 1, aged 49. A left-hand batsman, off-break bowler, and slip fieldsman, he joined the staff in 1948 and made his debut in 1952. His one century, against Cambridge University, was made at Guildford, and at Hastings in 1956 he took six catches in the match against Sussex.
