Daniel Burns is a left-arm spinner from New South Wales who began playing cricket at the age of eight. He has represented his state at the Under-19 level and was picked in Australia's squad for the U-19 World Cup in 2008. Burns was Australia's highest wicket-taker in the series against Pakistan U-19s in October 2007.
