Profile

Jack Taylor is the older brother of Matt, a seamer also at Gloucestershire. Jack is an offspinner and found his first XI break in Twenty20 in 2011, taking a memorable 4 for 16 in victory over Somerset. He gradually took over as the club's first-choice spinner in first-class cricket too before he was reported for an illegal action at New Road in May 2013 and required to undertake remedial work. He was passed to play again in February 2014 and that summer played a useful hand in helping his side to the 50-over quarter-final. His bowling, though, has yet to rediscover its bite.
