Martin Haywood is a powerful batsman who destroys bowling attacks.
"Moose" is one of the few cricketers to have ever six sixes in an over, a feat he achieved in a Sydney grade game against Petersham in 1993/94.
Haywood has had limited opportunities since debuting in 1991/92, however has struck three Shield half-centuries, including a 97 against Victoria.
Aside from the SCG, Haywood enjoys competing on the Adelaide and North Sydney Ovals. He revels in the picturesque surrounds and ideal batting conditions that these grounds provide.
When he is not smashing bowlers out of the attack, Haywood works at a water franchise and enjoys golf, tennis, squash and snooker.
Haywood is a cousin of former Test cricketer Peter Toohey.
