Offspinning allrounder Burgoyne marked his first-class debut in October 2012 with an unbeaten century for Southern Rocks against Mashonaland Eagles in Zimbabwe's Logan Cup, a week after signing a three-year-contract with Derbyshire. The 19-year-old from Nottingham, who hit a maiden Second XI century against MCC Universities in August 2012, has been at the County Ground since age 13.
