Vettori to Hayden, OUT, Hayden will feel very queasy when he sees this replay, flighted on middle and leg, he gets forward and pushes it on the walk towards mid-on and sets off for a very risky single, Katich doesn't even look at him and fixes his gaze on the fielder Jamie How, he turns back to make a desperate attempt at getting back to his crease but it's too late, the keeper whips off the bails, not the best way to get out in your 100th Test, his parents in the stands didn't quite enjoy that either

ML Hayden run out 24 (41m 36b 5x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Australia 38/1   SM Katich 13* (25b 2x4)   DL Vettori 1.1-0-1-0

Vettori to Katich, OUT, another very handy breakthrough before lunch, Vettori lands it on the rough outside off and gets it to turn, Katich gets forward to defend but the inside edge clips his pad and Ryder at forward short-leg takes it easily, no doubt about the edge at all

SM Katich c Ryder b Vettori 23 (59m 42b 4x4 0x6) SR: 54.76

Australia 49/2   RT Ponting 1* (12b)   DL Vettori 4-2-5-1

O'Brien to Ponting, OUT, the bowling change works, O'Brien bangs it in short of a length outside off but the ball doesn't rise as much as Ponting would have expected it to, he shapes to play a booming pull past midwicket but the ball travels quickly off the bottom of the bat straight to Fulton at short midwicket, Ponting mumbles something to O'Brien while walking back

RT Ponting c Fulton b O'Brien 79 (151m 124b 13x4 0x6) SR: 63.70

Australia 155/3   MEK Hussey 28* (105b 3x4)   IE O'Brien 10.1-2-42-1

Martin to Hussey, OUT, superb catch by Redmond! Martin bangs it in short and Hussey shapes to pull, he plays a little too early and the shot is miscued, the ball is in the air for a while but Redmond accepts the challenge by running forward from midwicket and taking the catch close to short square leg, he dives forward and takes it with both hands just inches off the ground. A rather strange shot by Hussey, a little out of character

MEK Hussey c Redmond b Martin 70 (259m 183b 8x4 0x6) SR: 38.25

Australia 244/4   MJ Clarke 45* (102b 7x4)   CS Martin 14.1-3-52-1

Martin to Symonds, OUT, Symonds doesn't look too happy with that but he has to go, Martin pitches it on the corridor outside off and draws Symonds forward, there's a sound as the ball passes the bat and both McCullum and Martin think they've git him, Doctrove agrees and Symonds glances at the umpire, replays showed the bat striking the pad but no real signs of an edge, a few more replays will be handy

A Symonds c †McCullum b Martin 0 (4m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Australia 247/5   MJ Clarke 48* (103b 7x4)   CS Martin 14.5-3-55-2

O'Brien to Clarke, OUT, the bowling change works, O'Brien delivers it from wide of the crease and pitched it up, Clarke can't resist the front foot slash and fails to get the desired elevation to clear point, Ryder leaps up and takes it easily

MJ Clarke c Ryder b O'Brien 110 (330m 239b 11x4 0x6) SR: 46.02

Australia 428/6   BJ Haddin 114* (163b 18x4)   IE O'Brien 23.1-3-95-2

O'Brien to Lee, OUT, Taylor pulls off a blinder and he can scarcely believe it, the ball is banged in short outside off and Lee attempts an upper cut, the ball travels quickly over the slips and Taylor at first slip stretches out his right hand and plucks it over his head and falls backwards

B Lee c Taylor b O'Brien 19 (49m 48b 3x4 1x6) SR: 39.58

Australia 470/7   BJ Haddin 131* (199b 20x4)   IE O'Brien 30.1-6-109-3

Redmond to Johnson, OUT, comes round the wicket and gives it a lot of air, Johnson gets on his knee for the slog sweep but gets a thick top edge, McCullum comes forward to take the skier

MG Johnson c †McCullum b Redmond 23 (45m 38b 4x4 0x6) SR: 60.52

Australia 526/8   BJ Haddin 163* (219b 24x4 1x6)   AJ Redmond 4.4-0-38-1

Redmond to Haddin, OUT, the end of a stupendous innings from Haddin, flighted on middle and leg, he tries to slog sweep Redmond over the stands and nearly succeeds, however he runs in to 'two-meter' Peter Fulton who cups it just inches before the rope

BJ Haddin c Fulton b Redmond 169 (303m 222b 24x4 2x6) SR: 76.12

Australia 532/9   NM Hauritz 0* (6b)   AJ Redmond 5.1-0-44-2

Vettori to Hauritz, OUT, bowled through the gate, lands on middle and off and skids through straight, Hauritz leaves a lot of daylight between bat and pad as he tries to force it away and the ball hits the middle stump

NM Hauritz b Vettori 1 (12m 12b 0x4 0x6) SR: 8.33

Australia 535/10   SR Clark 1* (4b)   DL Vettori 59.4-20-124-2
