The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the itinerary of India's short limited-overs tour of the country next month. India will tour Bangladesh for a three-ODI series after the IPL and before their departure for England.

All the three matches will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on June 15, 17 and 19. India will arrive in Bangladesh on June 13 and will leave on June 20.

MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli are unlikely to be on the tour ahead of a long season starting with the England trip and culminating with the 2015 World Cup.

India's tour to Bangladesh was in principle agreed upon between the boards at the time of FTP negotiations in February, and the dotted line was signed on the sidelines of the ICC executive board meeting in April.

For me Sri Lanka's Chandika Hathurusinghe is the best man to coach Bangladesh! His coaching methods are very much suited to rising team like Bangladesh

Dhoni48 You should know what Dhoni and Kohli means to the team.Opponents change their game plans for Kohli only.

Pointless Series since the team is going to England for 5 tests. I hope the boad/selectors dont send half the team that will play the entire England series to play Bangladesh. Its not worth it, A mix of youth and experienced players can beat Bangladesh anyday. So my suggestion, dhawan, rohit, virat, msd, rahane, bhuvi, shami, ashwin, radeja are not playing this series. My XI that I would test to get an idea of the best 15-17 players for WC. 1.Uttapa 2. GG 3. Pujara 4.Yuvi (depends on how next 4 games go for him, if confidence is there he will be an asset in WC ) OR Khedar Yadav (test him out, wont be in WC) 5. Saha (Karthik has been given his chances, time to see how Saha can bat, neither he nor karthik can be an MSD but both are similar) 6.Raina (better option than Rayadu, maybe if Yuvi is doing well, give Yadav a go as the hitter instead of Raina, ive seen yadav pull and hook, its better than Raina) 7. Rishi Dhawan -allrounder 8.Mishra 9. Mohit 10. Umesh 11. Sandep

Vishnuprasad24-Why are you caring about our player's form in the ipl.Its just a domestic t20 tournament where technique doesnt matter so chances of failing in t20 is higher.Dom t20 is far diff than intl test matches

Posted by kartcric on (May 15, 2014, 12:57 GMT)

PlanetCricket-Hey your bangladesh team lost to afghanistan and hongkong not too long ago. Then how can you expect your team to beat the world's 2nd ranked odi side.Wake up from your dream.

It's rediculous to sent a team which is preparing for a oversees cricket just for the sake of some agreement administrators make.We are watching how indian player are struggling in ongoing IPL.No player in the regular 11 are having a good IPL.Watching them gives you a feeling that they are dying for some rest.In these circumstance sending them to Bangladesh might gift India another overseas loss. Why don't BCCI care about it's players??

Robin Uthappa need to be given chance this time at least. I always believe he was the best explosive opener after virender shewag. He was used as a floter in the team. I hope he gets a chance in team n then he open the inning. Fed up of nohit sharma disgraceful batting.

Should be an easy victory for BD.

Gambir should not been given a chance as he is struggling to bat outside India(UAE IPL) My Playing 11 are Dhawan,Rohit, R.Uthappa (w),Rahane,Rayudu,PujaraJadeja/Binny,Ashwin/Mishra,Bhuvaneshwar,Shami, Vinay/U Yadav. Encourage new talent (S.Samson,S.Sharma,K.Nair,SYadav)instead of Gambir.

i think yuvraj, sehwag, gamdhir,Uthappa, praveen kumar need a chance before for WC2015

All the players that are selected for the England tests should be rested for this 'series' as they will have to play 5 tests and they should go to England early to acclamatize to the conditions especially the fast bowlers as we don't want any breakdowns. Also,I would not pick youngsters like Samson, nair just on the basis of IPL performances as they should earn their caps even though it is a series against Bangladesh.

Robin uttappa is ideal choice fr india up coming tour..he is diserve in india squad..ihope he will select...

This is good chance for BD to win this series, bcoz MSD & kholy is not in the team.. best of luck for BD.

India should send a team of talented players instead of sending the same old Guys. There are great batsmen like Uthappa, Jadhav, Samson, Bawne, Rahul, Zol + others who are either "Outsiders" or have not been tried. Give these guys a chance to show their talent. There are also bowlers like Sandeep Sharma, Mohit Sharma, B.Kumar, I.Pandey, Aaron, Chahal, who need experience. Have 3 or 4 regular Indian players + rest talented youngsters. This is a chance for them to shine. Let Rohit Sharma or Pujara captain the side. One gets tired of seeing the same old guys + Dhoni captaining & depriving others to blossom or experience captaincy. India right now needs a better Test Captain as Dhoni has failed so badly especially in overseas, that he should not captain the side in England or Australia. In addition it will be a good idea to send India A Team to play 6 x 3 day matches in England with at least 8 probable team players who will be in England tour this year. This will help in acclimatising too!

Naman Ojha & Uthappa should be picked. Squad should be :- Rohit (C) S Dhawan Yuvraj S Raina Uthappa Rayudu N Ojha Rahane A Mishra H Singh Bhuvneshwar Shami Vinay Kumar Ashwin Jadeja

surprised at how many people want to see sehwag, yuvi, gambhir, bhajji and raina back to the side when around this time 2 years ago they were claiming their days to be over, now they have done very little domestic wise to deserve a recall and everyone wants them back? Rahane is clearly not meant for ODI's as his terrible record suggests so best to give pujara a place in his spot. Uthappa deserves a go too at the top with dhawan who will have a lot to prove this series. Kedar jadhav deserves a go too and should be indias number 5 as he is more aggressive than rayudu who can play the number 4 role better. Shami needs a rest and unfortunately a trundler like mohit or pandey will take his place but hopefully not for too long. Naman ojha also deserves a go given his domestic season and the fact DK has been poor recently. Uthappa, dhawan, rohit (C), pujara, rayudu, jadhav, ojha (WK), ashwin, jadeja, bhuvi, aaron, mohit, pandey

Completely useless tour for India....after 1959, India playing 5 matches test series against England in England....the players should prepare for that.....moreover, if players prepare for that tour it will be helping India in 2015 WC.....instead of this useless tour, playing county cricket will be the best will help in building confidence and adjust to playing conditions ahead of matches against England.....if at all BCCI wants to arrange this tour, should go with complete young team, the performance of BD is very weak in these days, any team can win easily over them (remember the wins of Afghanistan and Hong Kong)

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 18:42 GMT)

Yuvraj,Sehwag and Gambhir should be given a chance.....

Posted by TMSyed on (May 14, 2014, 18:29 GMT)

any word as to who is gonna be broadcasting this tour?

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 18:18 GMT)

kedar jadhav highest run scorer in ranji this season, playing at no. 4 position with spectaular average could well will crucial in absence of virat. Also he has been doing well for dd in ipl with avg of 68 in 6 innings with 4 not out's.

what if Ashwin becomes the captain?

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 17:51 GMT)

Gambhir,Sehwag,Raina,Yuvi(c),Raina,Patel,Dhawan,Rohit,Tambe,Chahal,Bhuvi,Shami,Varun Aaron,Jadeja,Ashwin

I really wonder how some people think of KLRahul who has not done even on par with his own peer Karun Nair. He has got potential, no doubt. But definitely need some more exposure to ODI & T20 series in domestic rounds.

I would say the players who have not got good opportunities should be given now.

Yuvraj (C), Suresh Raina, Shikhar, Rahane, Uthappa, M.Pandey, Saha (WK)/Naman Ohja (WK), Jadeja, Ashwin, Sandeep Sharma, Bhuvi, Rasool, Ishwar Pandey, Shami, Mohit Sharma, Rayudu, Chahal are the probable candidates for the B'desh ODI series.

Posted by CricketMakdi on (May 14, 2014, 16:55 GMT)

Push some young blood into the team, no to these players who never learn Gambhir, Sehwag, Varun, Karthick and Yuvi. T20 is not a criteria to select the national team, people who are acting like selectors below should understand that.

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 16:24 GMT)

India shouldnt quickly bring sehwag back. He had a ordinary ranji and list A season. One IPL 50 shouldnt be considered for a comeback. Gambhir had a good ranji and he should be back in the team. India should make Ashwin as captain as he is a intelligent player. This should be the squad. 1.Rohit 2. dhawan 3.gambir 4.Rahane 5.Raina 6.Dk 7.jaddu 8.Ashwin 9.Ishwar pandey 10. Mohit sharma 11. Varun aaron 12. Amith mishra 13.Uttappa 14.Sanddep sharma 15.yuvi/rayudu

without MSD match not gud

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 15:55 GMT)

My team for this Bangaladesh tour would be - Openers - S Dhawan, Karun Nair, Mandeep Singh Middle order - K L Rahul, Manish Pandey, Manan Vohra, Suresh Raina (C) Wicketkeepers - A Rayudu, Dinesh Kartick Spinners - Karn Sharma (leg spin) Parvez Rasool (off spin), R Jadeja (left arm spin) Pacers - Rishi Dhawan (right arm medium), Umesh Yadav (right arm quick), Varun Aroon (right arm quick), Ishwar Pandey (right arm medium)

Posted by the_champs_2011 on (May 14, 2014, 15:51 GMT)

Team against Bangladesh hopefully will be something like this - Dhawan, Rohit (capt), Saha/Samson (wk), Yuvraj, Raina/Rayudu/Jadhav, Jadeja, Ashwin, Mohit, Pandey, Sandeep/Aaron.

The best test batsmen (Virat, Pujara, Rahane) should really go to England early, get some match practice, and get suited to the conditions. Those three, together with Bhuvi, are going to be the keys to any chance of success for India in the test series.

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 15:28 GMT)

Good chance for Pujara,Rahane to cement their places in the side....I think Sanju Samson should be given a chance as keeper instead of Karthik keeping the future in mind....

Posted by   on (May 14, 2014, 15:24 GMT)

So who will captain the side - Rohit Sharma or Ravindra Jadeja?
