Pakistan in Bangladesh Test Series - 2nd Test

Bangladesh v Pakistan

Pakistan won by 7 wickets

Overs 1-50  | Overs 51-100  | Overs 101-150

1.6

Aizaz Cheema to Nazimuddin, OUT, Tarapore raises his finger, nipped back in sharply from outside off and Nazimuddin let it go, he didn't expect it to move in so sharply, the only issue there was height but the umpire had no problem, despite a very stifled appeal from the bowler Cheema but decibel levels were much higher behind the wicket. We need to take another look at the replay, to the naked eye it seemed it was going over but I may be wrong

Nazimuddin lbw b Aizaz Cheema 0 (9m 6b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bangladesh 0/1   Tamim Iqbal 0* (6b)   Aizaz Cheema 1-1-0-1

6.6

Umar Gul to Tamim Iqbal, OUT, Tamim falls, the change in length does the trick, probably the first attempted bouncer of the day, banged in short on middle and Tamim went for the hook, didn't keep it down, got a top edge and Cheema judged it well at fine leg, tricky catch since he had to move backwards but he tackled it well

Tamim Iqbal c Aizaz Cheema b Umar Gul 14 (33m 24b 2x4 0x6) SR: 58.33

Bangladesh 16/2   Shahriar Nafees 2* (12b)   Umar Gul 4-1-14-1

7.4

Aizaz Cheema to Mahmudullah, OUT, Pakistan are on top and the Bangladesh top order is rattled, nipped back in from a good length outside off, he's moved it about this morning and got enough nip on that one to beat him through the gate as he played back to it

Mahmudullah b Aizaz Cheema 0 (4m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bangladesh 21/3   Shahriar Nafees 7* (15b 1x4)   Aizaz Cheema 3.4-2-7-2

13.2

Aizaz Cheema to Nasir Hossain, OUT, another one goes! Cheema takes three, a hint of movement, just a hint and that's enough to snare Nasir. Short of a good length outside off and he flirts with it, can't resist, gets a thin nick and Adnan makes no mistake, promising start, a not too unpredictable end

Nasir Hossain c †Adnan Akmal b Aizaz Cheema 7 (29m 17b 1x4 0x6) SR: 41.17

Bangladesh 43/4   Shahriar Nafees 22* (32b 3x4)   Aizaz Cheema 6.2-2-16-3

64.2

Umar Gul to Shahriar Nafees, OUT, Nafees has to walk back, misses out on a well-deserved ton, agony in the crowd, banged in short by Gul and Nafees, while trying to sway out of the way, gloved it to the keeper. Excellent delivery from Gul, was quick and surprised Nafees but a sad end to an excellent knock

Shahriar Nafees c †Adnan Akmal b Umar Gul 97 (274m 177b 12x4 0x6) SR: 54.80

Bangladesh 223/5   Shakib Al Hasan 102* (161b 14x4)   Umar Gul 13.2-1-59-2

94.4

Umar Gul to Mushfiqur Rahim, OUT, run-out, Shakib has to go, turned towards the midwicket region and Mushfiqur calls for the single, Shakib responds and then Mushfiqur backs out and by the time Shakib turned and tried to make it back, Taufeeq Umar had picked it up running in from mid-on and thrown down the stumps at the non-striker's end, Shakib was fuming at the indecision in the middle but he has to head back

Shakib Al Hasan run out 144 (352m 242b 15x4 0x6) SR: 59.50

Bangladesh 305/6   Mushfiqur Rahim 40* (101b 6x4 1x6)   Umar Gul 23.4-1-84-2

94.5

Umar Gul to Mushfiqur Rahim, OUT, Mushfiqur goes and Pakistan will now bowl at the tail, short outside leg stump and Mushfiqur tried to turn that fine, gloved it to the keeper

Mushfiqur Rahim c †Adnan Akmal b Umar Gul 40 (139m 102b 6x4 1x6) SR: 39.21

Bangladesh 305/7   Elias Sunny 0* (0b)   Umar Gul 23.5-1-84-3

105.5

Saeed Ajmal to Elias Sunny, OUT, Tarapore raises his finger, was the doosra, turned in from a good length outside off, Sunny got forward to defend, got an thin inside edge and Sunny walks back to the pavilion shaking his head. It seemed to me initially that the impact may have been outside the line of off stump, but the replays showed the deflection off the bat

Elias Sunny lbw b Saeed Ajmal 12 (56m 41b 2x4 0x6) SR: 29.26

Bangladesh 331/8   Shahadat Hossain 14* (25b 2x4)   Saeed Ajmal 23.5-2-64-1

106.2

Abdur Rehman to Shahadat Hossain, 1 run, OUT, run-out, driven wide of long-on and they decide to come back for the second, Gul returns a throw on the bounce to the non-striker's end, Rehman collects and takes off the bails, Nazmul is short, another one down, a bit of indecision on that second run

Nazmul Hossain run out 0 (2m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bangladesh 332/9   Shahadat Hossain 15* (27b 2x4)   Abdur Rehman 18.2-0-60-0

107.2

Saeed Ajmal to Robiul Islam, OUT, Bangladesh have been bowled out, tossed up, landed on leg stump, was the doosra, moved towards middle and off and Robiul was struck on the back pad while playing forward to that one

Robiul Islam lbw b Saeed Ajmal 0 (3m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Bangladesh 338/10   Shahadat Hossain 21* (31b 2x4 1x6)   Saeed Ajmal 24.2-3-64-2
