Bangladesh medium-pacer Abul Hasan has been ruled out of the rest of the ODI series against West Indies because of a side strain. He suffered the injury while bowling in the second match in Khulna, which Bangladesh won by 160 runs.
Abul pulled up after bowling the fifth ball of his only over in the West Indies innings, and was immediately attended to by physio Vibhav Singh. He completed the over, which cost nine runs, but he didn't return to the field for the rest of the game.
Allrounder Ziaur Rahman replaced Abul in the squad, which was otherwise unchanged for the remaining ODIs. Ziaur played eight Twenty20 internationals for Bangladesh and was in good form for Khulna Division in the National Cricket League. He also scored an unbeaten 51 against the senior team in a practice match.
In Abul's absence, Rubel Hossain and Shafiul Islam are the other pace bowlers in the Bangladesh team.
