Ossie Lambert played 24 matches for New South Wales as a specialist wicketkeeper in the 1950s, taking 50 catches and making 14 stumpings. His debut came in 1950-51 against the touring MCC, and he went on to make his Sheffield Shield debut later in the season. But he had to wait almost four years for his next chance, holding down a regular place between 1954-55 and 1956-57.
