The Bangladesh Cricket Board has decided to organise tournaments for women and school girls in Dhaka this season.
While the women's divisional tournament will be held in the city from December 27 to January 5, a girls' school tournament will be organised between January 17 and 29. The Games Development committee will provide cricket gear for the two levels.
Monwar Anis Khan, the chairman of the BCB women's wing, presided over the meeting which was attended by members of the Cricket Operations committee, Grounds and Facilities Management committee, Game Development committee, Logistics and Protocol committee and the Media and Communications committee.
Bangladesh won the Asian Cricket Council women's tournament in July and are bidding to take part in Asia Cup, along with India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka next year. The national side begins their latest round of training this week, with the following 18 players taking part:
