my 15 Tamim - vice captain I. kayes -slow starter, loss his way after scoring 30! good fielder S. Nafeez - has the ability to play longer innings Junaid - out of form, bad fielder Raqibul- can give stability if opener go quickly, slow starter, good fielder Ashraful- enigma, people love him and their expectation killing him Sakib-captain - all rounder Mushfiq - wk Alok kapali- all rounder/ best bet for power play Mahmudullah- out of touch Naeem - good fielder, Razzaq- specialist spinner-must pick Rubel - can surprise with his pace-good fielder Safiul- good line&length-good fielder Mashrafee- if fit,

Posted by   on (January 7, 2011, 18:12 GMT)

surely Alok Kapali should be picked for the WC2011... He will be a great asset in the team as a hard-hitting middle order batsman as well as a clever wicket-taking leg spinner... He can make huge difference on his day... Best of luck ALOK KAPALI...

Posted by nazmul198 on (January 7, 2011, 17:40 GMT)

My Best X1 for World cup will be like this:

Openar: 1)Tamim Iqbal 2) Imrul Kayes

Middle order: 3)Shahriar Nafees 4)Junaid Siddique 5)Shakib Al Hasan 7)Alok Kapali

Allrounder:7)Naeem Islam

Wicket keeper: 6)Mushfiqur Rahim

Bowler:9)Shafiul Islam 10)Abdur Razzak 11)Rubel Hossain

Tamim can start briskly and imrul play anchor role, nafees can keep scoring rate high if tamim fails while junaid can play role of imrul if he falls early, shakib n mushfiq keep scoring as situation demand and alok n naeem can use batting powerplay more effectivly with the help of bowler.

Final 15 -

Shakib Al Hasan, Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique, Roqibul Hassan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Naeem Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Shahriar Nafees,Shahadat Hossain, Mohammad Ashraful or Mashrafe Mortaza

Posted by Navid_Hossain on (January 7, 2011, 16:54 GMT)

Ashraful should not be in the squad because of his recent poor form. Bangladesh have to play very well in each and every department to beat the big guns in the big event.Specially the top order batting is a big concern. Bd need reliable batsman in no.3 and no.4 position. Neither Zunaed nor roqibul is good enough. It is an excellent chance as bd is playing all the matches in their own backyard. We have great expectations on Shakib and Tamim..............BEST OF LUCK BANGLADESH..............

My Best 15- Shakib Al Hasan, Mashrafe Mortaza, Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Junaid Siddique,Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Naeem Islam, Rubel Hossain, Shafiul Islam, Abdur Razzak, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Shahriar Nafees, Jahirul Islam, Shahadat Hossain.

15 for me... 1.Tamim Iqba 2. Imrul Kayes 3. Shahriar Nafees 4. Mushfiqur Rahim 5. Shakib Al Hasan, 6. Alok Kapali. 7. Mahmudullah 8. Mashrafe Mortaza 9. Shafiul Islam 10. Abdur Razzak 11. Rubel Hossain 12. Junaid Siddique 13. Mohammad Ashraful 14. Nazmul Hossain 15. Suhrawadi Shuvo/Shabbir Rahman/Naeem Islam if mashrafee is not fit enough only then one of Shahadat Hossain and Dolar Mahmud can take his place...there is a real problem...one needs to back up for mushfiqur rahim..!!! so...jahirul islam should be in squad. he can take either ashraful's or junaed's place...

Salaam everybody, I think best probable is: Tamim, Shariar, Ashraful, Mushfiq, Shakib, Raqib, Naeem, Shuvo, Mashrafe, Razzak, Shafiul. In the main 11, and the rest 4: Rubel, Junayed, Mahmudullah, Alok.

i think, alok kapali in 23 man squad, its good for bangladesh team.. ashraful & shariar nafees too. they are the real match winner.

Dear BD cricket Board - Plz get it right!!!

Here is my TOP 15 for WC 2011 >>

BATSMAN=6 1)Tamim 2)Imrul 3)Nafees 4)Junaid 5)Ashraful 15)Roqibul

ALL Rounder=5 6)Shakib (C) 7)Mushfiqur(w) 8)Kapali 9)Naeem 10)Mahmudullah

BOWLERS:4 11)Razzak 12)Rubel 13)Shafiul Islam 14)Rasel

My Reasoning: ~If Imrul flops as opener - Nafees/ Junaid can step up as opener with Tamim

~Kapali will give spin variation and keep one end tight also Kapali is not the worst batsman

~Naeem & Mahmudullah will need to battle out for position - for a bowling all rounder we got Naeem for a batting all rounder Mahmudullah

~In sub-continent pitch we need good line bowlers who can bowl wicket to wicket (no Shahadat) - so Rubel & Rasel is better choice.

~Mashrafe is not reliable with fitness so bowling will be lead by Shafiul Islam

~I kept Roqibul if incase we need backup keeper

~Shuvo is out due to lack of experience and we already have lots of spin option

Thanks Tito (Bangladeshi Australian)

my best 11 will be Shakib al hasan, Tamim iqbal, Shahriar nafees, Junaid siddique, Alok kapali, Mahmudullah riad, Mushfiqur rahim,Abdur razzak,Suhrawardi Shuvo ,Rubel mahmud,Shahadat Hosaain

Posted by   on (January 7, 2011, 14:02 GMT)

I truly believe that Shahriyar Nafees MUST be included in the manl XI, Imrul Kayes is way too slow for ODI more over in home ground we should not take any chances. and yes every single catch and stumping chance would directly relate to the opportunity of getting the ticket of quarter finals. therefor Rahim MUST MUST and MUST be extremely careful . cause he has previously dropped a lot of opportunities all over his wicket keeping career.
