Legspinner Jubair Hossain struck three times in two overs as Zimbabwe A went to stumps at 91 for 6 on the second day of the second unofficial Test in Fatullah. The visitors trail Bangladesh A by 167 runs after the hosts were bowled out for 258 earlier in the day.
Jubair, who took a four-for on his first-class debut during the first unofficial Test, broke a 42-run, fourth-wicket stand between Mark Vermeulen and Brian Chari by bowling Vermeulen for 31. In the next five deliveries, he removed Joylord Gumbie and Taurai Muzarabani as the visitors slipped to 66 for 6 after they had started off losing their top three for 12 by the fourth over. Shahadat Hossain took two of the first three wickets and ended the day with 2 for 15 in four overs. For Zimbabwe, Chari held steady, finishing the day on an unbeaten 39.
Earlier, Bangladesh A also suffered a collapse as they lost their last nine wickets for 63 runs. The side was comfortably placed at 195 for 1 before Shadman Islam was run out for 60. The opener's knock came off 176 deliveries and included 10 fours.
Shadman was also involved in a 155-run opening stand with Shahriar Nafees, who missed out on a century by three runs. Nafees scored a 140-ball 97 that included 14 fours and a six.
Zimbabwe A captain Vusi Sibanda picked up his maiden, first-class five-for during Bangladesh A's collapse, taking the wickets of Nafees, Naeem Islam, Mohammad Mithun, Kamrul Islam and Saqlain Sajib.
