One of the stalwarts of Rajshahi cricket, Rafiqul Islam retired in 2008 after plugging away for more than a decade in club and first-class cricket.
He has three first-class centuries but in international cricket, the gangly Rafiqul didn't do so well: heplayed one each Test and ODI, scoring seven in the former and going out for a duck in the latter.
He has concentrated on coaching after retirement, and has played a background role in Rajshahi's dominance in first-class cricket.
