Mortaza didn't make the batsman play enough in that over, let's see what Shahadat does

1.1

Shahadat Hossain to McKenzie, no run, just outside the off stump and is left alone

1.2

Shahadat Hossain to McKenzie, no run, outside off and he shapes to play before withdrawing his bat away. He then practises a pull shot. Not sure whether it was so short for that shot.

Two slips in place

2.5

Mashrafe Mortaza to McKenzie, 1 bye, lovely delivery. It landed on a length, just outside the off stump and cut back in sharply. McKenzie had shouldered arms, thinking it was not going to come in but it did. Not enough to do the damage, though. I remember Mortaza taking out Wasim Jaffer in a similar fashion. Rahim fails to gather it cleanly

2.6

Mashrafe Mortaza to Smith, no run

Andrew from USA, "South African studying abroad and very glad to see SA going with a spinner. We never give spinners enough of a chance to develop properly and playing Bangladesh is the perfect time for spinners to gain experience. I was very afraid SA were once again going to go for Nel and give up a good opportunity to work towards what the team needs most: a wicket-taking spinner. Its bad enough we won't choose a spinner who can't bat."

I think Habibul will go in much worse situation..."

Shoaib Ahmed: "Bashar's omission was inevitable and he himself took it with dignity. Rafique had a very poor series in SL and showed little interest in the domestic first class matches. 22.1

Abdur Razzak to Smith, 1 run, leans forward to drive to left of mid-off for a single

Ahsan: "I think that Bashar should have left with dignity a couple of years ago. He puts the selectors in an odd position. I hope the first test was a farewell game for him. It's time to hang it up .."

22.2

Abdur Razzak to McKenzie, FOUR, almost cleaned up! A quicker arm-ball, on the off stump, McKenzie shaped to cut but was surprised by the pace but manages to get a outside edge which goes between Rahim's legs!

22.3

Abdur Razzak to McKenzie, 1 run, flighted one, outside leg stump, McKenzie who likes to drive inside-out, places it towards right of mid-off for a quick single. The throw misses the stumps and crashes into Razzak's right knee. He is down in pain. The physio is out there.

Sirajul: "I agree with Mr. Shoaib. It is time to move forward without Bashar and Rafiq. Pilot [Khaled Mashud] should have been there for more time; Rahim doesn't seem to be fit enough for tests.
