Big Bash League

Sydney Sixers v Perth Scorchers

Perth Scorchers won by 7 wickets (with 4 balls remaining)

Hello and welcome to the SCG for tonight's Big Bash League fixture between the Sydney Sixers and the Perth Scorchers. We're greeted by pleasant conditions at present but the city has experienced some rain today and the inside oil on the track is that it might be a little bit tacky - Andrew Symonds is expecting both swing and spin. The Sixers have had a couple of changes enforced on them with David Warner and Mitchell Starc on test duty in Hobart and Nic Maddinson injured his groin yesterday in Grade cricket. In comes Daniel Smith, Ian Moran and Sunil Narine. For the Scorchers, Shaun Marsh and Alfonso Thomas come in to replace Marcus Stoinis and Joe Mennie. Simon Katich called correctly and the Scorchers have elected to chase which makes a lot of sense given the weather around the city today. I'm Marc Ellison and I'll be bringing you ball by ball coverage for the entirety of tonight's game. Let's hope we see a few more balls into orbit after a couple of docile T20 contests in the last couple of evenings.
