    There is something in the suggestion that Ross Taylor should not give interviews. His problem in this regard (if it really is one) is that he is too honest to think of hiding from interviewers. But it is precisely because he is so honest that I accept absolutely what he has said about the events in question.

    Basin Reserve the oddest roundabout in NZ - hardly! Marlborough alone has two to beat it. For some reason Nelson Square in Picton was placed in the most ridiculous position, far too close to the Marlin Motel, which is said to still show scars from some of Lance Cairns' "heaves". And that is routine compared with the big roundabout on the way south out of Blenheim, where five roads converge and the South Island main trunk railway sails right up the middle. Quite a sight when a big freight trundles through!
