Enter Afghan, netherlands, etc. into main cricket ... Afridi gets back his record in record time (Pak will sieze the opportunity to arrange a series at the first instance)

Did anyone notice he's biting the ball in the picture frame!

  • MrKricket on January 8, 2014, 23:11 GMT

Afridi could respond like Lara did when Hayden broke his highest Test score record. Within a year Lara had the record back in his keeping. Afridi just needs to go out and score a century in 25 balls to make sure it lasts another 17 years.

minimum 25 overs are needed for an ODI... Understand Adee Amjad

  • on January 6, 2014, 22:35 GMT

Its not like that even if someone scores 100 in 1st innings then match gets abandoned the record still stands 20 overs just for determining the result by DuckWorth Lewis If that match had been called off the record would still be broken. Case in point Quinton de Kock Century in last India Match which was abandoned without a ball bowled in second innings

Record are made to be broken. Afridi hold that record for 17+ year is a record itself. Many great players came & went between this period but no one could break it till 1st jan 2014. The fear Shahid Khan Afridi creates in the bowler is a record itself. The most dangerous & fearer batsman in the history if cricket. We love you Shahid Afridi. We appreciate whatever you have done for pakistan . Cricket will not be cricket without you. Hope that you end your wonderful career with the best way.

He may have earned the record of the fastest odi ton but he can never have the title of BOOM BOOM.

  • on January 6, 2014, 13:47 GMT

ahmedthe1.. u talking about asia cup.. sachin get his 100th century.. and in that match india lose against bangladesh. sachin is a great batsman. mmost of his century against pakistan.

  • on January 6, 2014, 13:02 GMT

@MUXA: minimum 20 overs are needed to complete an ODI and that game was 21 overs. So Anderson record stands and he has the fastest century.

  • ahmedthe1 on January 6, 2014, 6:31 GMT

I remember the days when sachin was struggling against all good teams for his 100th century and then indians finally decided to play against bangladesh to retain sachin's goodwill. Hahahaha...!! memories memories...!!
