Leslie Bulcock, who died in Colne, Lancashire, on April 24 aged 88, was a
medium-paced bowler of off-cutters or off-breaks, who made one appearance
for Lancashire, against Sussex at Old Trafford in 1946. Educated at Park School, Colne, Bulcock enjoyed a long and successful league career playing for his native
Colne, Egerton, Heywood, Kearsley and Walkden in Lancashire, as well as Yorkshire teams Baildon Green, Bingley and Windhill, and league clubs in Staffordshire. Until his death Bulcock was probably the oldest Lancashire player.
