Profile

Eddie Davis, a right-hand lower-middle order batsman and, played for Northamptonshire from 1947 to 1955. He never quite established himself as an ever-present in the side, and his best season came in 1949 when he scored 851 runs, including 171 against Leicestershire, the highest of his three first-class hundreds. He went on to play for Cambridgeshire and also joined Wisbech where he was the club's professional for a number of years before becoming coach and groundsman. He also coached at nearby Wisbech Grammar School.
