Profile

Rambabu Nankhu Pal was a right-hand opening batsman who started his career on a promising note, representing India Under-19s and Uttar Pradesh in the early 1990s. But he could not make the most of his opportunities, playing only six first-class matches, scoring 178 runs with a below-par average of 19.77, although he performed better in one-day cricket. Pal obtained employment in a Kanpur bank after not being selected for the 1997-98 season, He committed suicide in October 2007, a tragic result of what police described as his "poor mental condition".
