M Suresh is an allrounder from Cudappah, who started out as a top-order batsman. He made his debut in the 2002-03 but struggled to hold down a permanent place. In fourteen games spread over four seasons he managed only one half-century, and was dropped midway through the 2005-06 season. It was as a legspinning allrounder that he worked his way back into the Andhra squad two years later. He doesn't get extravagant spin, and relies more on his accuracy. He remains an effective batsman lower down the order, dependent on the cut and the off drive. 2008-09 was his best season to date, topping the batting averages for Andhra besides being their highest wicket-taker. After those performances earned his a spot in the South Zone side, he came up with his career-best effort, taking the first six second-innings wickets against Central Zone. He works as an accounts clerk in the Railways, which provides him an alternate side he could represent on the domestic circuit.
