Profile

A left-arm seamer, Krishmar Santokie represented West Indies in the Under-15 Costcutter Cup in England in 2000. He made his Jamaica debut in 2007-08, but featured in just a handful of limited-overs games and hadn't made his first-class debut even four years after his first List A match. Santokie made a name for himself in the inaugural Caribbean T20 in 2010, taking a five-wicket haul against Trinidad and Tobago. He got his chance following an injury to Jerome Taylor and was one of the finds of the tournament, picking up 10 wickets at a very respectable economy rate of 5.55. He troubled the batsmen with fuller length deliveries and half of his wickets were clean bowled. He had to wait another year for his international Twenty20 debut, though, but he didn't do badly, taking 1 for 17 in a low-scoring match at The Oval against England which West Indies won.
