Garey Mathurin is a left-arm spinner and a capable lower-order batsman. He's been a steady wicket-taker and enjoyed a successful first-class season in 2011, with figures of 7 for 72 against England Lions and 5 for 86 against Leeward Islands in consecutive games. In September the same year, he was included in the West Indies Twenty20 squad for the tour of England. He had an outstanding debut game, taking 3 for 9 in four overs at The Oval to win the Man-of-the-Match award and sink England to a 25-run defeat.
