TEAMS

Gordon Melluish, who died at home at Bushey Heath, on April 14 in his 71st year, was a very good slow left-arm bowler and useful right-hand batsman, and played for Essex (under J. W. H. T. Douglas) in four matches in 1926; during the Second World War he turned out for Northamptonshire. His real metier, however, was good-class club cricket : from 1928 until 1970 he played in more than 300 matches for MCC against clubs and schools; and he appeared, also, for the Incogniti, Gentlemen of Essex, Cryptics and Hampstead.
