Commonwealth Bank Series - 8th match

India v Sri Lanka

India won by 2 wickets (with 5 balls remaining)

1.40pm The teams are coming out, as are the umpires Peter Parker and Tony Hill. Now the India team high-five the flag as has become customary of late. Hardly anyone in at all, it's like a state game there so far.

Tito Basu and Manish Jain have emailed to say I'm not inventing "sleeked" although the usage is indeed suspect. Right, nuff nonsense, 'tis time for some cricket and Dilshan is facing.

1.20pm Sri Lanka have won the toss and will bat, so India chase here again. India have opted for the allrounder Praveen Kumar instead of Sreesanth, that's the only change. Senior bat Virender Sehwag sits out for the second straight match and, notes Nagraj, "that might prove to be crucial."

It's the same wicket used for Sunday's game. "Hopefully it will slow down a bit and be useful for our spinners," suggests Mahela Jayawardene to Mark Nicholas who has sleeked* smoothly into the satellite commentary slot. "We trust these guys to come good pretty soon," he says of the youngsters. "But they are pretty exciting." He confirms the expected swap of Amerasinghe in for Kulasekera.

* I may, or may not, have invented that word.

"I'm losing quite consistently, but at least I'm consistent in that!" smiles Mahendra Singh Dhoni after losing yet another toss. "There was slight greenness in the track [on Sunday] which has completely gone, it looks good to bat on."

Dhoni had hurt his calves in the last match but looks OK. "I had no trouble in the warm-ups." Good news. And why has he left out Sreesanth? "Back-to-back games would have been tough for him, while Praveen offers a bit of batting lower down the order."

A big breeze sweeping across the ground and through the bouffants of both Nicholas and every mum's favourite Brendon Julian. The batsmen could enjoy these conditions.

1.00pm Good afternoon chaps and chapesses, you've tuned in to India's match with Sri Lanka on the neutral, beautiful ground of the Adelaide Oval in South Australia where this morning was overcast and after a week of intense heat that's no bad thing, I tell you.

More on the heat shortly but firstly let's assess the playing situation. Sri Lanka are bottom of the table yet with a game in hand while a loss for India would see them change places. Ishara Amerasinghe is fit now so he should come in for Nuwan Kulasekera.

In fact, for more news, views and cues check out Nagraj Gollapudi's preview. He's done the hard work so I don't have to, I being Jenny Thompson, g'day.

Hmm, so the weather, oh my. Australia and India did well to play through the intense heat on Sunday, while local tennis and cricket was called off, in my game on Saturday we discovered jumping into the shower mid-innings and even with spikes was a good way to cool down. No such burning heat to speak of today though it is muggy.

And what about this game being moved to Foxtel? At least that pleases the sliver of the segment in the Venn diagram of Adelaide viewers who have satellite but can't get to the game today. So that will be about five people then.

No team, toss or pitch news as of yet and because I can't sing I can't entertain you that way. Instead, it's time for a commercial break which in cyberspace goes something like this: Now you can take us everywhere, even into the pie shop (Four and Twenty please, Sean), so click here for more. Or if you're deskbound this could amuse you. Finally, a link's been given to me which sounds exciting, check out Fantasy.

0.1

Patel to Dilshan, FOUR, a show of intent, off the mark immediately by pushing a wideish shortish one - let's call it a loosener of a half-volley - through the covers on the up, eavding a sliding Uthappa

0.2

Patel to Dilshan, no run, lovely rhythmic run-up for Munaf, you want to sway with him, and he rips one past the outside edge, the last-second curl taking it just wide of the bat as the batsman pushes forward

0.3

Patel to Dilshan, no run, good judgement there from Dilshan who shoulders arms as the ball licks past him on the up, and not so far above the sticks

0.4

Patel to Dilshan, OUT, edged and gone! Again Munaf plumbs the channel, just outside off this time and Dilshan prods forward, the ball curling out and catching faintly the outside edge with a sigh

TM Dilshan c †Dhoni b Patel 4 (2m 4b 1x4 0x6) SR: 100.00

A good start for India and deserved by Munaf because he kept the ball up and had been plugging that line early

Kumar Sangakkara into the batting attack early

0.5

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, short and defended on the back foot in line with just outside off stump

0.6

Patel to Sangakkara, 1 run, on leg, clipped down tidily and out to mid-on, where they shuffle through

A good start for India, then, pleasing the fans on the hill

End of over 1 (5 runs) Sri Lanka 5/1 (RR: 5.00)
KC Sangakkara    1* (2b)      MM Patel    1-0-5-1
ST Jayasuriya    0* (0b)

Here's the inevitable Ishant Sharma and how he enjoyed bowling here on Sunday, takes the same end - the Cathedral End

1.1

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, starts well with one which bends across the left hander who shoulders arms as it's a decent length ball and to play at it could risk an edge

Three slips in by the way

1.2

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, gets some fair lift from a regulation ball outside off, again it's left alone

1.3

I Sharma to Sangakkara, 1 run, Ishant would have thought that ball was fine enough, but the batsman dabs forward, somehow squeezing out the room and pushes a quick single through to mid-off. Cheeky

1.4

I Sharma to Jayasuriya, no run, plenty of movement from outside leg to middle, Jayasuriya pops down a back-foot defence to gully and sends Sangakkara back

1.5

I Sharma to Jayasuriya, no run, banged in outside off, good length, played down off the back foot and Sangakkara sends him back now

1.6

I Sharma to Jayasuriya, no run, pushed across the left hander again who is quietened into defending

End of over 2 (1 run) Sri Lanka 6/1 (RR: 3.00)
ST Jayasuriya    0* (3b)      I Sharma    1-0-1-0
KC Sangakkara    2* (5b)      MM Patel    1-0-5-1

Pie wars have begun. Apparently Balfours is the pie de choix around this area

2.1

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, right up there and defended on the back foot

The band strikes up, musically not cigarette-ly that is

2.2

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, defended on the front foot now

2.3

Patel to Sangakkara, OUT, overpitched and umpire Parker doesn't need a second opinion as his finger rises to give out Jayasuriya at the non-striker's end who can't get back in time as Sangakkara's straight drive is fingertipped on by Munaf who was trying to stop the runs rather than anything

ST Jayasuriya run out 0 (14m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Always such a disappointing way to get out, lucky for the fielding side, and there will be no Jayasuriya fireworks for his fans at the Adelaide Oval today

2.4

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, the ball doesn't get up so high in line with middle but Jayawardene is quick in defence

2.5

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, on off and middle, rises up and is played back down with a defensive but the batsman was looking for some kind of run

2.6

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, defended tightly on the back foot

Replays and thus a closer analysis show that Jayasuriya had his bat in the wrong hand, which made it that vital fraction of a second longer for him to get back in the crease

End of over 3 (wicket maiden) Sri Lanka 6/2 (RR: 2.00)
KC Sangakkara    2* (11b)      MM Patel    2-1-5-1
DPMD Jayawardene    0* (0b)      I Sharma    1-0-1-0

"More Indian supporters here than Sri Lankans," notes my fiance-cum-roving-reporter Dan from his Ipod Touch. "There are drums and a trumpet, though."

3.1

I Sharma to Jayawardene, 1 run, drinve forward for a quick single

3.2

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, beats the bat outside off, a touch of a false shot there

3.3

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, plays inside the line, drawing his bat in safely, like shutting the curtains from the outside world, as he realises the ball's a decent one that would have threatened his edge on the back foot

3.4

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pushed past him, the ball cutting off the seam past him, and he leaves the ball

3.5

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pushed across him again, the batsman waits on the back foot and defends down with a ramrod straight bat

3.6

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, again lets that go across him

End of over 4 (1 run) Sri Lanka 7/2 (RR: 1.75)
KC Sangakkara    2* (16b)      I Sharma    2-0-2-0
DPMD Jayawardene    1* (1b)      MM Patel    2-1-5-1

4.1

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, good delivery, shoulders arms, it's quite hard for these two to be attacking just now as they're int he rebuilding stage, not to mention the tight bowling

4.2

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, pushes through on off, this one's defended on the back foot

4.3

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, more defence

4.4

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, another disciplined ball through outside off, once again left alone

4.5

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, down the channel, again lets it go through at 137.5kph

Sreesanth and co signing autographs and posing for photos, that's good to see

4.6

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, defends on the back foot and his figures continue to glow

End of over 5 (maiden) Sri Lanka 7/2 (RR: 1.40)
DPMD Jayawardene    1* (7b)      MM Patel    3-2-5-1
KC Sangakkara    2* (16b)      I Sharma    2-0-2-0

5.1

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pushed down on a good length and again gets that nagging rise forcing Sangakkara to defend back down

5.2

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pushed across him and this time he shoulders arms. So much shouldering so far we need a new phrase for it

5.3

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, defended back down off the back foot and they look for the single, but decide against it

5.4

I Sharma to Sangakkara, 1 run, short and steered down off the back foot out towards square and the batsmen gratefully run through for a single

5.5

I Sharma to Jayawardene, no run, nipped back in from outside off, defended back down

No terrors in the track by the way, just good bowling (and fingertipping) so far

5.6

I Sharma to Jayawardene, 1 run, bent in from outside off, the batsman leaps on to the length and pushes out a single to the leg side, stealing the strike to boot

Band wars out there, there are three of them. "Awesome drums," reckons Dan

End of over 6 (2 runs) Sri Lanka 9/2 (RR: 1.50)
DPMD Jayawardene    2* (9b)      I Sharma    3-0-4-0
KC Sangakkara    3* (20b)      MM Patel    3-2-5-1

6.1

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, outside off, pushed on to the back foot and drives out towards mid-off

6.2

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, very tight again, defended tightly also

6.3

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, let that one through with plenty of awkward bounce even if it's not bouncer-like, a touch of movement away

6.4

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, left alone a good-length delivery to the keeper

6.5

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, on middle and veering slightly to leg, but a cramping room means only a forward defensive prod

6.6

Patel to Jayawardene, 2 runs, short outside off, Jayawardene hardly controls it down wide of the slips off the back foot, but brings up the double figures for the team, and a misfield allows them the second

End of over 7 (2 runs) Sri Lanka 11/2 (RR: 1.57)
DPMD Jayawardene    4* (15b)      MM Patel    4-2-7-1
KC Sangakkara    3* (20b)      I Sharma    3-0-4-0

7.1

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pinged down at 142kph, defended down

This may be slow scoring but it's no less entertaining because the bowlers are really challenging the batsmen here

7.2

I Sharma to Sangakkara, FOUR, some room outside off and Sangakkara latches on with a classy back-foot cover drive of a push that bissects the fielders and travels on

7.3

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, short, straight, and misses out on a pull, just too late onto the shot and the ball goes straight to the fielder

7.4

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, banged in at 137.7kph this time, defended on the back foot now

7.5

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, tight line, defended on the back foot out towards the other Kumar, ie Praveen, at mid-on

7.6

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, not too much the batsman can do with that either, other than lever arms as it goes through

Tito in Florida's come up with some alternatives for shouldering arms, look out for them

End of over 8 (4 runs) Sri Lanka 15/2 (RR: 1.87)
KC Sangakkara    7* (26b 1x4)      I Sharma    4-0-8-0
DPMD Jayawardene    4* (15b)      MM Patel    4-2-7-1

8.1

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, stands on the back foot and waits for the ball before it's defended

And all the while the band(s) played on

8.2

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, waits for the ball which comes across him from over the wicket and gives it the chimney sweep

8.3

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, across him, good-length delivery defended on the front foot

It's cat and mouse out there, where the bowlers are definitely cat right now

8.4

Pathan to Jayawardene, FOUR, a tad fuller and wide at 135.6kph, and reaches away from his body to drive square where there's a grasp at point and then Gambhir chases hard, albeit in vain

8.5

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, across him again, tighter line now and defended on the front foot

8.6

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, rise down the channel, wide enough to leave which is wise on a good length

End of over 9 (4 runs) Sri Lanka 19/2 (RR: 2.11)
DPMD Jayawardene    8* (21b 1x4)      IK Pathan    1-0-4-0
KC Sangakkara    7* (26b 1x4)      I Sharma    4-0-8-0

9.1

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, defended on the front foot

9.2

I Sharma to Sangakkara, no run, pushed through at 145.2kph

Thanks for everyone, and there were many, who wrote in to point out the typo - obviously meant 138 and not 178kph - that would be fast - reminding me of a press release last night from a colleague who said Ellyse Perry was bowling at 191kph and not 119kph. Anyway, all sorted now

9.3

I Sharma to Sangakkara, 1 run, outside off, worked into midwicket this time with a pull which finds the fielder

9.4

I Sharma to Jayawardene, no run, defended down off the back foot

9.5

I Sharma to Jayawardene, no run, slower ball, right up there in front of the toes although not quite a yorker, Jayawardene comes out and defends on the front foot

9.6

I Sharma to Jayawardene, 1 run, outside-edged with some control wide of the slips

End of over 10 (2 runs) Sri Lanka 21/2 (RR: 2.10)
DPMD Jayawardene    9* (24b 1x4)      I Sharma    5-0-10-0
KC Sangakkara    8* (29b 1x4)      IK Pathan    1-0-4-0

The Powerplay is inevitably taken with the squeeze on

10.1

Pathan to Jayawardene, 1 wide, a very wide down off signalled by Umpire Parker

10.1

Pathan to Jayawardene, FOUR, down leg and Irfan Pathan not finding the same control as his colleagues, this one whipped off the hips through the vacant long leg

10.2

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, drags it wide of off stump again

10.3

Pathan to Jayawardene, no run, pushed fairly wide again down off, left alone

10.4

Pathan to Jayawardene, 1 leg bye, pushed up there on leg, flicked behind square off the pads, literally - a half-appeal but it pitched outside leg

One slip in now

10.5

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, some curl away from the left hander, who defends into the covers off the back foot

10.6

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, more testing shape away from the left hander who gives it the willow salute, to use Tito's phrase

End of over 11 (6 runs) Sri Lanka 27/2 (RR: 2.45)
KC Sangakkara    8* (31b 1x4)      IK Pathan    2-0-9-0
DPMD Jayawardene    13* (28b 2x4)      I Sharma    5-0-10-0

Now then, a change. Here's Praveen Kumar

11.1

Kumar to Jayawardene, no run, bustles into the crease, a curling arm swirl and touch of away swing and prompts the forward defence

11.2

Kumar to Jayawardene, no run, a touch of width outside off, defended off the back foot into the covers

11.3

Kumar to Jayawardene, 1 run, pitched back in from outside off and they sneak the single into the covers

11.4

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, stands over and sniffs the ball before rejecting it as it hustles through on a good length

11.5

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, staying over by the way, pushed past the left hander who leaves it alone

11.6

Kumar to Sangakkara, FOUR, outside off and Praveen finds the outside edge but it travels past the slip and on its way

End of over 12 (5 runs) Sri Lanka 32/2 (RR: 2.66)
KC Sangakkara    12* (34b 2x4)      P Kumar    1-0-5-0
DPMD Jayawardene    14* (31b 2x4)      IK Pathan    2-0-9-0

12.1

Pathan to Jayawardene, 1 run, outside off, not too much length, but the batsman opens the face and guides past the slips on the back foot

12.2

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, tucked up on off and defended this time

12.3

Pathan to Sangakkara, 2 runs, turned off the legs behind square, manufacturing a scroing zone there as he takes the ball from off stump and pushes it on

12.4

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, starts comfortably outside off and bends away wider down off

12.5

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, a touch short, and Sangakkara rises and drives off the back foot straight to the man at cover

12.6

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off again, a touch of curl away from the left hander who waits and defends on the back foot

End of over 13 (3 runs) Sri Lanka 35/2 (RR: 2.69)
KC Sangakkara    14* (39b 2x4)      IK Pathan    3-0-12-0
DPMD Jayawardene    15* (32b 2x4)      P Kumar    1-0-5-0

13.1

Kumar to Jayawardene, 1 run, outside off and cut-punched hard square through point, neat connection

13.2

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, good length again in line with off, the batsman jumps behind the ball and defends back down

13.3

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, a good delivery there, with a half-shout from Dhoni as it's wristed through well, hits the seam and moves away, nearly taking the outside edge from a forward push

13.4

Kumar to Sangakkara, FOUR, too wide and you can't bowl there to him, Sangakkara crouches over and cuts well through point, leaning over and in to it

13.5

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, short ball on off, defended on the back foot straight back forward

13.6

Kumar to Sangakkara, 1 run, on off, shuffled down off the back foot for a quick single, flicked on at the non-striker's end by Yuvraj who doesn't dislodge the bail for a while, enough room for a diving Sangakkara to get back in his crease

End of over 14 (6 runs) Sri Lanka 41/2 (RR: 2.92)
KC Sangakkara    19* (44b 3x4)      P Kumar    2-0-11-0
DPMD Jayawardene    16* (33b 2x4)      IK Pathan    3-0-12-0

Stuart Capel says it's Vili's for locals, pies-wise, which sounds about right actually.

14.1

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off and Sangakkara timed so well off the back foot to a diving Rohit Sharma in the gully

14.2

Pathan to Sangakkara, 1 wide, curls wide outside off and indeed it's given wide

14.2

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, plugs the line outside off again, but it's full enough to leave

14.3

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, curled around again, defended on the front foot

14.4

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, outside off, left alone through to the keeper

14.5

Pathan to Sangakkara, 2 runs, wide outside off at 135kph, cut hard to point but it's tidied up

Irfan letting his bowling colleagues down here, he just can't find their control and it's allowing Sri Lanka some breathing space

14.6

Pathan to Sangakkara, no run, but that was a decent delivery indeed, at 138kph, zooming past the squared-up batsman's outside edge

End of over 15 (3 runs) Sri Lanka 44/2 (RR: 2.93)
KC Sangakkara    21* (50b 3x4)      IK Pathan    4-0-15-0
DPMD Jayawardene    16* (33b 2x4)      P Kumar    2-0-11-0

Here comes another Powerplay

15.1

Kumar to Jayawardene, no run, left alone outside off to a decent delivery

15.2

Kumar to Jayawardene, 1 run, pushed him on to the back foot in front of off, pushed down into the off-side and they run through

15.3

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, on middle and off and with some movement at 132.4kph, pushed into the leg-side

A sightscreen adjustment and Sangakkara retakes his guard, on two since you don't ask

15.4

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, round the wicket, starts wide and brings the ball back in from outside off

15.5

Kumar to Sangakkara, 1 run, outside off but wide enough for Sangakkara to wait and flick a fashionably late cut through gully

15.6

Kumar to Jayawardene, 1 run, outside off, wide, and Jayawardene waits before languidly cutting hard to point where Rohit Sharma makes a flashing stop

It's drinks, folks

End of over 16 (3 runs) Sri Lanka 47/2 (RR: 2.93)
DPMD Jayawardene    18* (36b 2x4)      P Kumar    3-0-14-0

16.1

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, outside off, good line, pushed back down into the covers

16.2

16.4

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, on off and middle, pushed into the off-side off the back foot

16.5

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, right up there on off, a hint of swing back into the batsman, enough shape for him to play it carefully

16.6

Patel to Sangakkara, 1 run, on middle and leg, wristed and wrested into the leg-side in front of midwicket

End of over 17 (2 runs) Sri Lanka 49/2 (RR: 2.88)
KC Sangakkara    23* (57b 3x4)      MM Patel    5-2-9-1
DPMD Jayawardene    19* (38b 2x4)      P Kumar    3-0-14-0

17.1

Kumar to Sangakkara, 1 run, comes outside the line to flick the ball back down, not the most convincing shot, out to leg and that brings the fifty up

Muted applause

17.2

Kumar to Jayawardene, no run, heart-in-mouth moment as the ball pitches outside off, licks in off the seam to the bat who presses through too quickly

17.3

Kumar to Jayawardene, 1 run, nips back in and pushed back out to mid-off for a well-judged single

17.4

Kumar to Sangakkara, no run, pushed down the off-side and it's left alone

17.5

Kumar to Sangakkara, 1 run, nipped back in from outside off and pushed out to square off the back foot

KC Sangakkara    25* (60b 3x4)      MM Patel    5-2-9-1

Patel to Jayawardene, no run, outside off, inside edged into the leg-side after he tried to drive out to the covers

18.2

Patel to Jayawardene, 1 run, moved back in from outside off, and pushed into the covers for another good single

Comes in and just loses his run-up on the way. Take two

18.3

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, glides the ball past the left hander who leaves it on the way through, the ball rising encouragingly off this hard deck

18.4

Patel to Sangakkara, no run, right up there on off, driven out to mid-on

18.5

Patel to Sangakkara, 1 run, shorter ball outside off, cut down through the gully, the batsman getting right over the top of the low bounce and easing it out

18.6

Patel to Jayawardene, 2 runs, outside off, a touch short, driven out through the covers and it's tidied up inside the rope

End of over 19 (4 runs) Sri Lanka 57/2 (RR: 3.00)

19.6

Kumar to Sangakkara, 1 run, on leg, pulls it down a touch short, and swivel-pulls it through square

This pair have gone past a cautious fifty stand now, and will look to open up in the coming overs. Good bowling from India is keeping them quiet

End of over 20 (3 runs) Sri Lanka 60/2 (RR: 3.00)
KC Sangakkara    28* (66b 3x4)      P Kumar    5-0-21-0

47.1

Harbhajan Singh to Sangakkara, 2 runs, low full toss driven out wide to the man around long-on

47.2

Harbhajan Singh to Sangakkara, FOUR, another one and this gets the treatment, in front of midwicket, the bowler not quite getting it in the blockhole and pays the price

47.3

Harbhajan Singh to Sangakkara, 1 run, a sweep into the deep this time

Sangakkara looks to be suffering at the other end from the heat

Sangakkara calls for a much-needed drink as Irfan Pathan gets ready to bowl the penultimate over

48.6

KC Sangakkara c Kumar b Pathan 128 (241m 155b 12x4 0x6) SR: 82.58

Just under three and a half hours for that innings, timed at 215 minutes. Final over then, can the batsmen boost them even further?

End of over 49 (7 runs) Sri Lanka 234/5 (RR: 4.77)
     IK Pathan    10-0-44-1
LPC Silva    21* (29b)      Harbhajan Singh    9-0-50-0

LPC Silva c Uthappa b Harbhajan Singh 21 (54m 30b 0x4 0x6) SR: 70.00

So he perishes in the team's cause. Useful cameo for Silva, who also gave Sangakkara some handy support

49.4

Harbhajan Singh to Maharoof, 1 run, full toss low on middle and leg, boomed out to deep midwicket but doesn't quite connect; it looked like it was travelling much harder

49.5

Harbhajan Singh to Vaas, 1 run, way outside off, crashed into the ground with a cut and they run through the single

Final ball coming up now

49.6

Harbhajan Singh to Maharoof, 1 run, outside off, another full delivery, dug only in front of him and they scramble through eluding Dhoni's last-gasp underarm

Now then, there's a competitive total which will challenge India in these conditions. The story of the innings was the third-wicket stand of Jayawardene and Sangakkara who lifted Sri Lanka from 2 for 6 (as they say in these parts). India's bowlers had some excellent lines at time and it's really been a good contest. Join us shortly for the chase.
