NKP Salve Challenger Trophy, India Blue v India Red at Indore, Sep 27, 2013
India Blue won by 11 runs
27 September 2013 (50-over match)

Glorious day, not a cloud in sight, this tournament is not being played in the country which is hosting the Champions League and where it rains all the time. Naman Ojha and Akshath Reddy are in the middle. Here is Umesh Yadav

And the news is that Yuvraj Singh is fit to play, which means Assam's Sibsankar Roy will sit out.

Reds have won the toss and they will field first to take advantage of the early morning nip in the wicket. We will have to wait and see if Yuvraj Singh takes to the field or not - he missed the game yesterday because of some soreness in his back.

Welcome to our coverage of the Challenger Trophy. Today it's Yusuf Pathan-led Reds against the Blues, who did well to edge past a strong Delhi unit. The train of non-stop cricket is now in Indore, where huge crowd gathered to welcome Sehwag et al yesterday, unlike Mohali, which only needs a World Cup semi-final to draw people in.

Great effort by the Blues to bring up an ginormous total of 345 after being put into bat. The bowlers dictated in the first hour, but then the conditions became perfect for batting. Manish Pandey and Reddy scripted a mammoth second-wicket stand, after which it was all about Yuvraj and Nayar, both bringing up rapid half-centuries to accelerate the scoring towards the end. Yuvraj entertained and Nayar continued his good run and stayed unbeaten till the end. We will be back in round about 30 mins to bring you the chase.

Wasim Kumandan: "Abhishek Nayar has done tremendously well at the domestic level but has failed to deliver on a bigger stage.. say while playing in the IPL or in that case when he played for India.. seems like he has workedon his batting stance which was a huge cause of concern for him!!I wish him all the very best:)"
