The news from Cuttack is encouraging. The umpires, after an inspection at 2.45 pm IST, have decided to start the game at 3.30 pm IST. Although they did manage a competitive 260, their performance on the field let them down. Naman Ojha, the India Green wicketkeeper, missed a crucial stumping off Rohit Sharma, who went on to score an unbeaten 117, when he was on 38. Sharma was dropped again at short extra-cover while on 66. The Greens conceded way too many runs through misfields and overthrows, and their lapses in the field probably cost them the match.

A victory ensures a berth in the final for India Green and a defeat rules them out. India Red, having conceded a bonus point to India Blue in their defeat on Thursday, have just three points from two games. They'll be hoping for a result in favour of Blue to earn a place in the final.
