Champions League Twenty20 - 9th match, Group A

Lions v Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals won by 30 runs

Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane are out and Lonwabo Tsotsobe will open the bowling for Lions. One slip in place and four others in the circle on the off side. Here we go...

"How come the guy's played only 3 matches but is 41 years of age?" He was signed by Royals only last year, Werner.

Prabal: "I think Phangiso got ahead of Tahir because of his recent performances. I will be more keen to watch Tanvir who returns to his home ground where he launched himself into glory in the inaugural IPL."

"Not a good idea playing Tambe. He has taken just 1 wicket in his career and goes for a lot of runs. He is not even quick in the field. Big Big mistake by RD. Hope it does not cost them too much." Maybe we should give players more than three matches to prove themselves, Kritesh. Dravid said he expected some turn so included Tambe.

7.50pm Both the teams possess decent bowling attacks - both pacers and spinners. do you think Lions should have included Imran Tahir in the XI?

Time for the toss:

Toss Lions have won the toss and will bowl first.

Alviro Petersen: It's a good wicket and we are looking to chase. The thing with double-headers is you have to start afresh and you can't rely on what happened in the first match.

Rahul Dravid: We were looking to field first, hopefully we will put up a good score. The heartening thing in our first match was good performance from everyone, especially from the lesser-experienced players. We have three games to go, it's a tough competition and you can't relax as there no time to make-up later on. It's a slightly different wicket compared to what we've seen here in Jaipur and it might turn a bit so we brought in Pravin Tambe.

The Lions have left out Imran Tahir and will play only one spinner - Aaron Phangiso. They have brought in an extra batsman in the form of Thami Tsolekile. Royals have made one change - Pravin Tambe in place of Rahul Shukla.

Rajasthan Royals XI: R Dravid, A Rahane, S Samson, S Watson, S Binny, B Hodge, A Menaria, J Faulkner, K Cooper, V Malik, P Tambe.

Lions XI: Q de Kock, R van der Dussen, A Petersen, T Tsolekile, T Bavuma, J Symes, D Pretorius, Sohail Tanvir, H Viljoen, A Phangiso, L Tsotsobe.

7.20pm Hello and welcome to the live coverage of the Champions League match between Rajasthan Royals and Lions. While Royals were on top of the Group A points table until Otago Volts beat Perth Scorchers a few minutes ago, and are now second, Lions had their first match washed out. They will be hungry for a win and more points, but will have to find a way to beat Royals' fine form at home. Still some time for the match, you can read Rachna's preview till then.
