Earlier this year the ICC's annual conference was moved from London for the first time in 99 years after the UK authorities made clear that Chingoka would struggle to get an entry visa. Later in July, he was banned from entering or transiting through the European Union for "having publicly supported the terror campaign carried out before and during the [Zimbabwe] elections".
It is more than likely that the ICC will switch the meeting to Dubai, but no decision is likely until early in the New Year.
"These are members of the regime, close supporters of the regime, or the adult children of the regime," Steven Smith, Australia's foreign minister, said. "The enhanced sanctions follow recent similar moves from the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union."
The news will be another blow to Chingoka who has always maintained that he and his board are apolitical.
