Good summary by Dravid although he kept repeating the point about confidence once too often. I'm also not sure if Dhoni has contributed enough with the bat of late. He is pretty ordinary overseas and is looking shaky even on the sub-continent. If he wasn't the captain, I'm not sure he would warrant a place in the team. Dravid, like his batting and his south indian heritage is very diplomatic and full of tact even in commentary which isn't necessarily bad but not thoroughly entertaining. But its nice for us Dravid fans to see him on TV again, although not in action!
Posted by Alexk400 on (November 21, 2012, 3:53 GMT)Excellant recap of the match. One thing i do not agree is dhoni wicket keeping. it was awful. I think dhoni excels as captain when sehwag scores big. Because when sehwag bats he has to do one thing that is control the bowling resources. He needs to work with sehwag and patch up any misundertsanding. I think happy sehwag and gambhir can propel india to number 1 again. I also do not want sehwg hit in the air until he reach 50. He has to play for team not for spectators or his own thrill or bravado. Can ganvaskar or dravid tell him that?. I know he scores only his way but he needs to be useful and prolong carreer he has to grind for first 50 runs. He should not give oppurtunity to opposition. I did not liike him get out in second inning. If india won by 10 wickers it would have severe psychological effect on england bowlers and sehwag messed it up. He is great but he lacks knack. Someone friendly has to be on his ear all the time.He won't listen from outsiders. Pujara played impact inning
