Profile

Leonard Burtt was a stockbroker who played twice for Middlesex in July 1921, scoring 50 on his debut against Surrey. He was reported to be frightened of the fast bowlers and out of his class, but The Times noted his bravery in making a fifty "triumphed over unorthodox footwork and a crooked bat".
