George Hake was an allrounder from Bromsgrove School who played once for Middlesex against Cambridge University in 1948, by which time he was 31. In 1935, his last year at school, he hit 89 not out for Young Amateurs v Young Professionals at Lord's with what The Times said was "admirable footwork and wristwork".
